Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.

This field allows for different work environments and conditions that may affect performance. Essential operating conditions that may be present (depending on the work situation, needs of the candidate, accessibility of the item, and local industry and regional contexts) are included.

clean and orderly work area (precautions taken to minimise dust)

adequate lighting

ergonomic chair with adjustable height

Case fixings include one (1) or more of the following:

case screws

movement rings

stem

Custom replacement includes one (1) or more of the following:

determining custom stem length

cutting and filing stem end and securing crown

replacing screw or friction fitted worn or damaged pendants

servicing, cleaning and replacing pushbutton

inspecting all crown, pendant, pushbutton gaskets for condition, and replacing and lubricating, as required

Check and service hands and dials include one (1) or more of the following:

luminance of hands

dial feet condition

rust and contamination

water marks

damage and wear to hands

Clearances include one (1) or more of the following:

hand clearance from each other

hand clearance from dials

hand clearance from glass
